Hitra is also the seventh largest island of Norway, and is bordered by Frøya to the north. It lies on the Trondheimsfjord. The highest point on the island is called Mørkdalstuva, and is 345 m above sea level.

There are 5 tradition cabins available in the region of Hattfjelldal is a municipality in the county of Nordland, Norway. The lake Røssvatnet (Reevhtse in Sami) is a lake and reservoir lying partially in Hattfjelldal; it has been the site of human occupation since the Stone Age. Its area of 219 km² makes it the second largest lake in Norway by surface area.

You can observe one of Norway’s largest groups of puffins and kittiwakes and many other birds including white-tailed Eagles. The nesting period, from April to September, teems with life in the air and on land.
